The Eagle & The Dove

Part 1:  THE GYPSIES Chapter 1

Ballad Of The Gypsies

We're Travelling folk we keep travelling on

It's a long lonely road we're travelling down

One more country - one more town

One more lonely road to travel down

We're Travelling folk, all on our own

With a pack on our back and no place to call home

Through the dirt and dust, through wind and snow

Travelling folk, on we must go

One more country - one more town

One more lonely road to travel down

Though the heat and cold make our young folks old

Loneliness and pain keep us moving again.

Travelling folk with nowhere to go

The days are so long yet still we go on

One more country - one more town

One more lonely road to travel down

Travelling folk we keep travelling on

Always to find we’re on our own

The pack on our backs our only home

Up with the sun, sleep with the moon

Firelight and starlight on we must go

One more country - one more town

One more lonely road to travel down

Work and toil our only way

Born for tomorrow, yet living today
